JAROSLAV JEŽEK (1906 PRAGUE – 1942 NEW YORK)

small exhibition about famous composer, pianist and conductor

Location: Czech Museum of Music, Karmelitská 2/4, Praha 1

The small exhibition in Czech Museum of Music remainds the well known composer, pianist and conductor Jaroslav Ježek.

He became famous before the World War II by composing music for comic plays of the very popular theatre „Osvobozené Divadlo“ (Liberated Theater) founded by George Voskovec and Jan Werich.

This year it is 70 years exactly after his untimely death. On display there are up to now not published period photos and other personal items.
