Monarchy
main exhibition from the Monarchy exhibition series extended

The main exhibition of the Monarchy exhibition series shows the period in our history, which carries significant traces of tradition despite it underwent the modernization processes of the society.
During the second half of the nineteenth century, the Czech country changed in so many ways that these changes seemed to be the opposite of conservative values. On the other hand, it brought the development of the state and society in a number of fields like industry, science, culture and more.
In addition, the modern Czech society which had been going through the final phase of its cultural and national emancipation was established - all within the traditional Habsburg monarchy
Along with the extension of the exhibition (till 28 july, 2013) there will be a replacement of some of the exhibits. Visitors can see for example the dress of Empress Sissi or uniform of Emperor Franz Joseph I. only till 30 June.
