The National Museum has been preparing reconstruction of its historical building at the Wenceslas Square (Václavské náměstí).

Due to a reconstruction is closed by 7 July 2011.

The historical building of the National Museum is almost dilapidated. There have not been any significant repairs made since the opening of the building. Due to the extended space in the historical building and its connection with the new building of the National Museum, there will be almost doubled space for the exhibitions. Realization of the renovation is planned for 43 months, starting in December 2011 and ending by June 2015.

You can visit other buildings of the National Museum! They offer many interesting exhibitions. List of our buildings you can find HERE (entrance fee, opening times etc.)
