Výzkum biodiverzity vybraných skupin obratlovců, zvláště obojživelníků (Amphibia), plazů (Reptilia) a netopýrů (Chiroptera) palearktické a afrotropické oblasti, za využití molekulárních fylogenetických a fylogeografických metod a evolučně-ekologického přístupu; ochrana ohrožených druhů.
