1979:               Graduation, M.A. Faculty of Arts, Charles University, Prague (Indian Studies and History).

1979 – 1985:     Oriental Institute of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences, a research assistant specialized in the history of India. In 1982 the rigorous examination (PhDr degree)

1987 - 1994:     National Library

1991:               Graduation CSc. (equivalent PhD.)

1994                 Náprstek Museum, National Museum, curator of the South and Southeast Asia Collection.

1996 - 2011      Head of the Asian Department, curator of South and Southeast Asia Collections, specialized in Indian Decorative Art

Editorial activities

Member of the Editoral Board of the Annals of the Naprstek Museum. Annals are an annual publication focusing on the presentation of the material culture of non-Europaen countries, namely the collections of the Naprstek - National Museum.

Casual lectures on Indian art, e.g. Faculty of Humanities, Academy of Music and Arts etc.

Consultations on the PhD. projects including the collections of the Naprstek Museum

Managing the practices of students from the Ethnological department of the Faculty of Arts and from the Higher school of the information technologies and retrieval systems
