- 1979: Graduation, M.A. Faculty of Arts, Charles University, Prague (Indian Studies and History).
- 1979 – 1985: Oriental Institute of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences, a research assistant specialized in the history of India. In 1982 the rigorous examination (PhDr degree)

- 1991: Graduation CSc. (equivalent PhD.)

Editorial activities:
Member of the Editoral Board of the Annals of the Naprstek Museum. Annals are an annual publication focusing on the presentation of the material culture of non-Europaen countries, namely the collections of the Naprstek - National Museum.
Academic activities:
- Casual lectures on Indian art, e.g. Faculty of Humanities, Academy of Music and Arts etc.
- Consultations on the PhD. projects including the collections of the Naprstek Museum
- Managing the practices of students from the Ethnological department of the Faculty of Arts and from the Higher school of the information technologies and retrieval systems
