Baroque music - classic guitar


Location: Czech Museum of Music, Karmelitská 2/4, Praha 1

Piotr Bąk is a classical guitarist from Poland. As a soloist and chamber musician he played concerts in major cities in Poland and Czech Republic, he also took part in more than 20 guitar festival and competitions around the Europe (becoming finalist or semifinalist in contests in Spain, Austria and Liechtenstein among others).

In 2013 he graduated from Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań.

Since 2016 Piotr is pursuing postgraduate studies at HAMU, under supervision of Maestro Pavel Steidl. At the same time, he works on a project focused on nearly forgotten baroque lute music written in 17th and 18th century in the area of today's Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. His work can be carried out thanks to generous support from International Visegrad Fund.

Apart playing guitar, Piotr also works as a teacher and publish articles in biggest polish classical guitar magazine, 6 Strun Świata.
