Prague Quadrennial 2015 in Náprstek Museum

After four years, one of the most important events in Czech and world culture is back.

The 13th edition of the international Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space exhibition will run from 18th to 28th June.

For the first time, the exhibition program will take place over a number of locations, primarily in the center of Prague. Apart from the Section of Countries and Regions, exhibitions of performative architecture, Student Section and 'PQ for Children' family section, the Prague Quadrennial will also offer a rich program including live events in public spaces, lectures and workshops.

Over the entire duration of the Prague Quadrennial the Náprstek Museum will be the base for the Tribes - masked beings who, on their travels through the streets, in the metro and in the supermarket, will try to blend in with everyday reality.During the eleven days of the event, 80 groups of masked students and professionals will walk through the center of Prague between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. and try to face the commonality of the urban space.

Also on display at the Náprstek Museum during the whole of the PQ will be an installation of the National Museum project Recycled Theatre, as well as an installation by the Handa Gote artistic group, dealing with theatre, contemporary dance, visual art, music and performance.

The PQ creates a platform for a meeting of up to 5,000 theatre professionals and students while welcoming over 50,000 visitors from all over the world.
