Abstract

Linarite, supergene Pb-Cu sulphate, was found at small mine dump Grubenwall „42” near Dolní Kramolín (historical ore district Michalovy Hory, Czech Republic). Linarite forms dark blue coatings and rarely deep azure blue short columnar crystals up to 1 mm in size with glassy luster. The unit cell parameters of linarite refined from powder X-ray data are: a = 9.6886(9) Å, b = 5.6459(4) Å, c = 4.6846(5) Å, β = 102.66(1)° and V = 250.00(4) Å3.
