This 15th volume of this edition comprises over 2500 species of Neopterygians in 61 orders (according to the system from Mullets, Mugiliformes, to Spiny Eels, Synbranchiformes). Within each family, the species are listed in alphabetical order of their complete scientific names (i.e. including the author of the first description), and either a new Czech name or its earlier equivalent and, in some cases, Czech synonyms are attached. Two glossaries of Czech and Latin names serve easy orientation.
