In this section on the Czech names of animals, which is devoted to Harvestmen (Opiliones), four sub-orders are described: Cyphophthalmi, Eupnoi, Dyspnoi and Laniatores. At the present time, approximately 6,000 types of Harvestmen are known, ordered into 46 families. We list all the existing families and most (5,488) of the thus far known species, including 33 species living in the territory of the Czech Republic.
