The book is a monography of a long and fruitful life and various activities of a Czech educationalist, naturalist, writer, collector and and traveller Josef Kořenský (1847 – 1938). It comes with a catalogue with a detailed description of the photograps, brought by Kořenský from his travels – from his round the world trip, conducted in 1893 – 1894 and from his so called travel to the antipodes (1900 – 1901). These photographs come in a large format on cardboard (some of them are coloured) and are stored at the Náprstek museum, at the department of ethnography and in the Náprstek Museum Library. The book comes with an enclosed copy of a CD with an interactive catalogue of photograps.
