Skull measurements taken in the field vole Microtus agrestis specimens coming from natural wet meadows in the Českomoravská vrchovina Highlands and from clearcuts induced by air pollution in the Beskydy Mts. were compared. The results showed that some cranial measurements of females from the Beskydy Mts. were smaller than those of females from the Českomoravská vrchovina Highlands, which can be a consequence of differences in body size. No differences in cranial measurements or body size were observed in males. In some cases differences in measurements between males and females from the Beskydy Mts. were found.
