The study describes a decadent writer Jarmil Krecar (1884-1959) as a librarian of the National Museum in Prague between 1922 and 1939. It focuses on his cultural-historical activities and describes how the work of the old book prints influenced his late creation. The article also reflects the arrest of Jarmil Krecar by Gestapo at the end of 1939.
