The southern margin of the distribution range of Apodemus agrarius shifts from time to time from central Moravia more or less southwards close to the Austrian border. This is documented by published and our older unpublished data from the 20th century, and also by some recent records from the last two decades. The phenomenon can be evaluated as a pulsation of the boundary of the species distribution range.
