The Center for the Presentation of Cultural Heritage is located in the New building of the National Museum. The reading room is accessible by prior appointment only.
Since its establishment in 2006, the Center has been systematically building a specialized library, which currently offers over 700 recent publications, primarily in English.
This unique collection is used by students preparing term papers, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral theses, as well as by professionals addressing both theoretical and practical issues.
The publications cover a wide range of topics within the field and gradually extend into interdisciplinary areas. A significant part of the library is dedicated to renowned international periodicals in the field of museology.
All materials are available for on-site use only (no loans for home use).
Titles ordered from the list provided and regularly updated on the Center Library’s website can be borrowed for on-site study in the Reading Room of the National Museum Library (New Building, Vinohradská 1, Prague 1) by prior arrangement. Orders must be placed at least one week in advance via email.
For organizational reasons, only up to 10 titles can be borrowed per appointment for each researcher. In other cases, arrangements must be made with the Center’s staff.
