An exhibition organized on the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the founding of the Czech Ski Association
The exhibition entitled By the White Track, which was prepared by the National Museum together with the Czech Ski Association on the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the founding of this association, presents objects from the history and present of Czech skiing. In the exhibition, you can see for the first time a unique collection of Olympic and championship medals of our most important skiers from the second half of the 20th century to the present day, such as the medals of Jiří Raška, Olga Charvátová, Kateřina Neumannová, Aleš Valenta, Jakub Janda, Šárka Strachová, Eva Adamczyková, Ester Ledecká and many others. Objects and archives from the sports collections of the National Museum are also exhibited, such as ski medals from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries or a picture with a skiing theme painted by the pioneer of many sports in our country and the founder of the Czech Ski Club, Josef Rössler Ořovský.
Tickets to the Museum Complex can be purchased on-line, in mobile app, self-service ticket machine or at the box office in the Historical or New Building.
The e-ticket is valid for 30 days from the day of purchase for a one time entry.
Free admission (tickets only available at the box office): children from children’s homes or SOS children’s villages; holders of physical disability cards and people accompanying them; holders of cards: ICOM, Slovak National Museum, the National Museum Society, Benefit card of the European GNSS Agency – the Ministry of Transport, Prague Card, employee of a contributory organization of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic (for cardholders only)
