A new interactive exhibition in the New Building of the National Museum invites you to a unique encounter with one of the most prominent figures in Czech modern history. Františka Plamínková – teacher, politician, pioneer of women's rights, and fighter against Nazism – comes to life here not only as a historical figure, but as a partner in a dialogue about courage, equality, and civic responsibility.

The exhibition is conceived as a lively conversation between the past and the present. It shows how the values Plamínková fought for also affect our lives and offers inspiration, especially to the younger generation. At the beginning of the exhibition, you will be greeted by a majestic marble bust by Karla Vobišová, a symbol of Plamínková's return to public awareness. You can then immerse yourself in the estate donated to the museum by Františka Plamínková's sister – from her senator's ID card to her iconic work briefcase and passport from the Protectorate era, with which she traveled to international meetings advocating for women's rights.

The exhibition also includes personal photographs, copies of letters, including the famous letter to Adolf Hitler, and an extraordinary library of over 700 volumes with authentic notes that reveal how she thought and what shaped her.

Františka Plamínková and Us invites us to reflect on how her legacy is reflected in the world we live in today—and what place we ourselves have in it.
