The Museum of Roma Culture, together with its specialized workplace, the Center for Roma and Sinti in Prague, in cooperation with the National Museum, prepared a traveling exhibition entitled The Genocide of the Roma during the Second World War at the National Memorial in Vítkov on the occasion of the International Day of the Roma Holocaust during the World War II.

The exhibition focuses on the topic of the Nazi persecution and extermination of Roma, especially in the territory of today's Czech Republic. It is therefore a reminder of a tragic period in history when almost 90 % of our pre-war Roma population was murdered. The exhibition offers visitors the opportunity to find out more about this perhaps somewhat neglected chapter of history.
