Organ grinders are going to fill the streets of Prague with music for the 13th time
On Wednesday, June 10, 2026, the 13th annual "Flašinet žije!" international festival will take place. Street performers from various parts of the Czech Republic as well as from abroad will perform at various locations in the center of Prague.
The festival will kick off at 10 a.m. with a concert at St. Nicholas Church on Old Town Square. The unconventional combination of street art with the church setting delivers surprising musical experiences every year. Audiences will have the opportunity to hear a number of well-known classical pieces in original arrangements they won’t hear anywhere else.
The afternoon concert will take place outdoors in the open air. Starting at 3 p.m., barrel organ players will perform on the picturesque square in front of the Czech Museum of Music at Karmelitská 2. Don’t miss this laid-back, improvised performance in the unique atmosphere of Malá Strana.
The festival will conclude with an evening concert at the Czech Museum of Music starting at 7 p.m. Here you can look forward to a colorful mix of songs from all genres, ranging from classical to pop and jazz to folk songs.
We look forward to your visit.
Admission to all performances is free.
