Bedřich Smetana Memorial
The long-term exhibition at the Bedřich Smetana Memorial in Jabkenice provides an overview of the genealogical research connected with the personality of Bedřich Smetana.

Jabkenice Lodge, near a large game park in beautiful natural surroundings, was originally the seat of the forestry office of the Counts Thurn-Taxis. From 1875, Betřich Smetana’s son-in-law, Josef Schwarz, husband of his daughter Žofie lived there. The deaf Smetana spent the last years of his life here (1875–1884), when he composed some of his most significant works.

The building is located on a place that is difficult to get to for visitors with special needs. There are also stairs in the building. The building has toilets for visitors with mobility difficulties.

It is located at the ticket office on the ground floor and it offers postcards, souvenirs, professional literature, etc.
