Discover the basics of traditional wire craftsmanship!
Loop Weaving A technique derived from textile crafts, used to decorate glass, ceramics, stones, Easter eggs, or bells, with wide decorative applications. ♦ Please bring a ceramic mug with a rounded shape (approx. 0.3–0.5 l), or alternatively an old jam jar, ceramic soda bottle, or small vase.
The course is led by Ms. Jitka Dvořáková, who has been dedicated to the art of wirework for around 17 years. Alongside her own practice, she collects original wirework objects and historical postcards related to the craft. Her creations are inspired by authentic techniques and traditional craftsmanship.
The course is suitable for adults - beginners as well as intermediate participants.
Please wear appropriate work clothes and gloves, as black wire may stain, and minor scratches or fabric tears may occur.
