Come practice pilates at the museum!
Classes are led by Michaela Voříšková, a certified Pilates instructor.
Pilates is an exercise method developed by Joseph H. Pilates in the 1920s. It focuses on the connection between body and mind through mindful movement, proper breathing, and strengthening of the deep core stabilising muscles.
The exercises are performed primarily on a mat using body weight and are suitable for both women and men of all ages, regardless of previous fitness experience. Pilates helps improve posture, flexibility, coordination, and concentration, contributes to the prevention of back pain, and supports overall physical and mental well-being.
The method is based on six fundamental principles: breathing, concentration, control, precision, flow of movement, and core activation, which together form the foundation of healthy and efficient movement.
