The Hartig Trio was formed in the summer of 2022 by students of the Gymnasium and Music School of the City of Prague. It derives its name from the first mayor of Žižkov, Karel Hartig, who, among other projects, commissioned the construction of the building that now houses the music school. The Hartig Trio has already performed in the Suk Hall of the Rudolfinum, the Stadler-Trier Music Foundation Salon in Celetná, the Atrium in Žižkov and, last but not least, in the halls of the ZUŠ Liberec and ZUŠ Mladá Boleslav. Last year, it was given the opportunity to perform in the programme Festival Garden as a part of the Smetana Litomyšl Festival.

The trio works on its repertoire under the guidance of leading Czech artists and professors, such as pianist Lukáš Klánský, cellists Jaroslav Kulhan, Marek Jerie, Tomáš Strašil and violinist Jiří Fišer. The group also had the opportunity to work under the guidance of members of the Bennewitz Quartet – violinists Jakub Fišer and Štěpán Ježek, and violist Jiří Pinkas. They also greatly appreciated the consultation with the leading Czech soloist Josef Špaček.
