Entrance fees

Tickets can be purchased on-line, in mobile app, self-service ticket machine or at the box office in the Historical or New Building.

If the capacity of the building is full, access is temporarily suspended. That usually happens at weekends around noon, on holidays. Priority entrace for ticket-holders. The usual waiting time is 30–45 minutes. You can see the current queue status below on the page.

The gift voucher is valid for 365 days from the date of purchase for a one-time entry to the Museum Complex of the National Museum (i.e. to the Historical and New Buildings, including the dome).

The gift voucher does not apply to the Czech Press Photo exhibition.

Gift vouchers can also be purchased at all ticket offices of the National Museum.

There are currently no educational programmes for school groups.

Visit without educational programmes for school groups

Both buildings of the Museum Complex of the National Museum can be visited by school groups during normal opening hours without the need for a prior reservation.

A visit to the History of the 20th century exhibition located in the New Building can be arranged on weekdays except Friday also at 9.15 based on a reservation made a min. of 7 days in advance using the booking form here. At other times, a reservation is not necessary, but we do recommend it to schools.

Guided tour of the Pantheon of the National Museum

Come and see one of the most beautiful and celebrated halls in our country. Together we will climb a representative staircase to the Pantheon itself, show paintings and sculptures by famous Czech artists, explore the busts and statues of individual historical personalities, and remember their fates. The tour does not include a visit to the cupola.

Guided tours are provided on weekdays to groups of 10–30 people only after prior reservation (7 days in advance!) At --- or by e-mail vzdelavani@nm.cz.

Barrier-free entrance

The barrier-free entrance to the Historical Building leads through the New Building entrance, the café and the connecting Passageway. Wheelchair-accessible lifts are situated on both sides of the Passageway exit in the Historical Building. There is one on-site parking space available for disabled visitors in the basement of the Historical Building, via the left side entrance from Vinohradská Street. If you are interested in parking in the Historical Building, please write in advance to nm@nm.cz.

Entrance with a pushchair

To enter with a pushchair, use the entrance to the New Building. Continue to the Historical Building via the café and the connecting Passageway.

Changing table

The Museum Complex is fully equipped with changing tables (located also in men's toilets).

Kids' Corner

In the New Building there is a children's zone Mouseum on the 2nd floor.

Cafe

Bistro National Museum is located in the eastern hall of the Historical Building and on the first floor of the Historical Building at the entrance to the exhibition Windows to Prehistory: open daily from 10 am to 6 pm, as well as in the New Building: open daily 9.30 am–7 pm.

Cloakroom

Cloakrooms are located on the ground floor of both buildings and are free for visitors.

Shop

The museum shops are located in the eastern hall of the Historical Building next to the café and on the first floor of the Historical Building at the entrance to the Windows to Prehistory exhibition, as well as in the New Building at the cash desk on the ground floor of the building. They offer publications of the National Museum, souvenirs of ongoing exhibitions and the building itself, postcards, etc.
