Kolekce římských republikánských mincí (3.–1. století před Kristem) ze sbírek Národního muzea v Praze představuje největší veřejnou sbírku svého druhu v České republice a její zpřístupnění široké badatelské i laické veřejnosti je významným počinem na poli prezentace muzejních fondů. Katalog zahrnuje bezmála 2300 ražeb včetně depotu z Guljancy, který je vzhledem ke svému významu prezentován jako samostatná část. Samozřejmou součástí katalogu jsou barevné fotografie jednotlivých mincí. Textová část obsahuje rovněž historii sbírky, analytické komentáře včetně výsledků XRF analýz vybraných suberátních ražeb a ikonografickou studii.

The publication presents almost 2300 specimens of Roman Republican denarii in the collections of the National Museum in Prague consisting of the systematic collection and a part of a hoard from Gulyantsi, Bulgaria. The catalogue is supplemented with chapters on the history of the numismatic collection of the National Museum, analytic commentaries including the evaluation of the XRF analyses of selected silver plated specimens, iconographic digression and analyse of the Gulyantsi hoard.
