V době Nádherných hosté do zámku nepřijížděli současnou bránou do předdvoří – ta bývala většinou zavřená, protože se za ní nacházel hospodářský dvůr. Vstupovali do parku branou pod kostelem. Ze zastávky vlaku Veselka (dnes Olbramovice) je přivážel kočár vyslaný ze zámku, později auto. Cesta pak po východní straně obešla rybník a po hrázi dovedla hosty před vstup na zámecký most – kde už je čekali hostitelé. Na svou první návštěvu tudy přijel v listopadu roku 1907 básník Rainer Maria Rilke (1875–1926), stejně jako další proslulí návštěvníci Janovic: spisovatel a publicista Karl Kraus (1874–1936), zahradní architekt Camillo Schneider (1876–1951), hudební skladatelka Dora Pejacsevichová (1885–1923) se sestrou Gabrielou (ta je autorkou fotografie), kníže Max Lobkowicz (1888–1967) s manželkou Gillian, autorka společenských románů Mechtilda Lichnowská (1879–1958). Do Janovic a ke své přítelkyni Sidonii tudy urazili poslední úsek cesty i další její blízcí a důležití lide: rodina Chlumeckých, Moritz (1882–1945) a Margaret ze Spálova na Moravě, hrabě Otmar Kolowrat (1891–1966), kterého znala od dětství, kníže František Schwarzenberg (1913–1992) ze zámku v Nalžovicích, zubař a básník Jan Vincenc Matina. Brána v době po odchodu SN do emigrace postupně chátrala, rekonstrukce se dočkala v roce 2008.

At the time of the Nádherný family, the guests did not arrive to the chateau through the current gate to the front courtyard – it was usually closed because there was a farmyard behind it. They entered the park through the gate under the church. They were transported from the Veselka train stop (today Olbramovice) in a carriage sent from the chateau and later by a car. The road then bypassed the pond on the east side and guided the guests along the dam to the entrance of the chateau bridge – where the hosts were already awaiting them. Poet Rainer M.Rilke (1875–1926) first visited the place in November 1907, and other famous visitors to Janovice also paid a visit: writer and publicist Karl Kraus (1874–1936), landscape architect Camillo Schneider (1876–1951), musician composer Dora Pejacsevichová (1885–1923) with her sister Gabriela (she is the author of the photograph), prince Max Lobkowicz (1888–1967) with his wife Gillian, author of social novels Mechtilda Lichnowská (1879–1958). Other close relatives and important people of Sidonie spent the last part of the journey here: the Chlumecký family, Moritz (1882–1945) and Margaret of Spálov in Moravia, Count Otmar Kolowrat (1891–1966), whom she had known since childhood, prince František Schwarzenberg (1913–1992) from the chateau in Nalžovice, dentist and poet Jan Vincenc Matina. The gate gradually deteriorated in the period after Sidonie left for emigration, its reconstruction tiook place in 2008.
