Jeden z pilířů brány do parku z předdvoří obrůstá jedinečná popínavá hortenzie (Hydrangea petiolaris). Sidonie Nádherná ji zasadila 19. dubna 1929, jak si pečlivě zapsala do svého zahradnického deníku. Je druhá nejstarší v Čechách – starší je už jedině ta průhonická z roku 1927.

One of the pillars of the park gate from the front courtyard is overgrown with a unique climbing hydrangea (Hydrangea petiolaris). Sidonie Nádherná planted it on 19 April 1929 – she meticulously wrote the date down in her garden diary. It is the second oldest hydrangea in Bohemia – only the one in Průhonice of 1927 is older.
